Private Jet Flight Time answers one question: how long is a private jet flight from one city to another? We cover 50 of the world's most popular private-jet cities and estimate the flight time for every pair - 1,225 routes - for light, midsize and heavy jets.
Beyond typical nonstop range, the flying-time estimate excludes fuel-stop time; actual travel time depends on aircraft and routing. Each route uses the great-circle distance between the two cities' main business-aviation airports, and a band of cruise speeds for the jet class (about 400-460 knots for light jets, 430-490 for midsize and 470-530 for heavy jets, based on ranges published by charter-industry sources such as Flyius and Paramount Business Jets), plus about 20 minutes for taxi, climb and descent, in line with the methodology used by published flight-time calculators. For feasible nonstop flights, results are shown as a range rather than a single number: the short end is a fast jet on the direct route, the long end a slower jet on a route about 5% longer than the direct line, because real routes depend on airways and air-traffic control.
